Developing Men of Character
COVID-19/Coronavirus
Due to the current state of the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic that has led to closures of our host institutions, the National Executive Board has voted to take the following measures to protect our brothers and active chapters. We will continue to provide updates as we learn more about this virus, and how our host institutions will respond.

-
Phi Lambda Chi National Fraternity will suspend all executive board travel until July 1, 2020.
-
Phi Lambda Chi chapters are directed to cease in-person chapter meetings and transition to a virtual (google hangout/skype) option until such time as their host campuses resume in-person instruction. For campuses where in-person classes are still being held, chapters will still be permitted to meet in person.
-
All chapter social, community service, and philanthropic functions are suspended indefinitely. Virtual philanthropic and community service campaigns will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the national board.
-
Phi Lambda Chi chapters are directed to continue with ongoing new member education programs and maintain the currently planned schedule, and on campuses where classes have been moved to an online-only format, chapters are directed to transition their new member programs to an online format.
-
Should campuses not resume in-person classes prior to the end of the semester, a group Shield initiation will be held at the 2020 national convention.
-
The 2020 Phi Lambda Chi National Convention will be held as planned.
